I have worked with Bea over the last year focusing on the mental side of my performance. I learned how to set long and short-term goals and break these down into manageable objectives. I learned how to question why my goals were important to me and evaluate and review them, as I progressed.
I looked at possible barriers to success and learned how to use my powers of perception to visualise the race beforehand. As a result, when race day came, I had some practiced familiarity with the race environment. & I was able to deal with my pre-race nerves better having a routine
Consequently, my confidence going into races has grown and I have run more races than ever before in a season to embed my mental skills and to continue to grow as an athlete.
Last year was a very successful year in terms of race results and my race times went down significantly.
Bea is very knowledgeable and clearly explained what I needed to do step by step
Before meeting Bea, my joint hypermobility was a constant hurdle in my life, especially when it came to exercise. I struggled with joint pain and instability, which not only limited my physical abilities but also affected my confidence in engaging in any form of exercise.
From our first session, Bea demonstrated an exceptional understanding of my condition and tailored a program that was not only safe but also effective. What truly sets Bea apart is her empathetic approach and genuine care. She consistently provided encouragement and support, which played a crucial role in building my confidence. I've not only seen a significant improvement in my joint stability and strength but also in my overall well-being.
Thanks to Bea, I have a better understanding of my body and have gained confidence in my ability to exercise without fear of injury. I'm incredibly grateful for her help and would highly recommend her to anyone seeking a knowledgeable, caring, and effective physical therapist/coach.
I needed a one to one coach who not only set goals with me in the gym, but also taught me about & encouraged me to start eating a well balanced diet. Bea was always ready to explain why certain exercises were useful and why they were beneficial to my age and style. Training was very effective, helping me to refocus my energies and complete some major goals in my life. I would like to thank Bea for the last few months of coaching. I will now continue what I learnt and I am looking forward to checking in and updating my training regularly with her.
I wanted to return to fitness after struggling with physical and mental motivation while approaching the menopause. Sessions with Bea were a great introduction to a new approach to my fitness regime, using weights for strength and cardio, with Bea thoughtfully tailoring the sessions for me to be able to adapt them to home.
Bea’s approach is patient and knowledgeable with a professional eye for form, expertly guiding where needed, with clear demonstrations and instructions, and so enabling me to repeat routines safely, effectively and with confidence even when alone. I left my final session feeling empowered and inspired to continue on my fitness journey
I really enjoy my sessions with Bea. I chose to train with Bea because she doesn't just focus on weigh loss, she takes a holistic approach to help her clients achieve their goals and I'm amazed at her level of knowledge . I suffer from adrenal imbalance and thyroid dysfunction, and for that reason, Bea tailors my exercise plan accordingly, when required, which not many PTs I have come across are aware of nor do they take this approach.
When I started the couch to 5k, I went to Bea for a training program, gym sessions and a running form check. One year later I ran the London marathon and I was a little bit disappointed because I thought I would feel ruined afterwards ;) and hardly be able to walk. But I felt strong. That is because my preparation was good and that great foundation was thanks to Bea. I am now running ultramarathons.
Having a good coach is one of the best investments in myself I have ever made. I would never have had the confidence and knowledge to walk into the weights area of a gym that I have now for which I very much appreciate Bea’s guidance, support and expertise along the way.
Initially Bea was my running coach. She then continued to support me on my journey with my health & overall wellbeing. She also planted a seed in my mind with the question have you ever thought of becoming a Personal Trainer yourself as I already had training experience from a variety of sports and lifting. It took a couple of years after this but I am now a qualified PT and S&C coach and have made a complete career change.
Thanks Bea for the inspiration!
During the time that I’ve been working with Bea I’ve PB’d at 5km, 10km & Marathon race distances which I think is the best testament you can give to a running coach!
I have been working with her on a strength & conditioning program designed to compliment my running schedule I put a lot of my running success over the past few months down to the strengthening work; I am currently the strongest I’ve ever been. Under Beatrice’s guidance I ran less miles training for my most recent marathon than I have done previously but performed significantly better than I have done in the pas
For key races & specific training goals, I highly recommend Beatrice
I have been living with a diagnosis of Parkinson's Disease for nearly three years. Bea has been wonderful in understanding my condition and helping me to develop core strength and generally increasing my overall level of fitness, vital in slowing the progression of the disease.
I'm in my 60s and have never had a PT before. Bea put me at ease right from the start and gives just the right level of encouragement. I can't recommend her highly enough.
